heritage with everyday practicality.
Every Palmyra strand carries a story of resilience. Our bags are handcrafted by women artisans in Veruhal, Thirukovil, and Vavuniya communities in Sri Lanka’s North and East that have endured decades of hardship.
Through the Sivan Arul Palmyra Project, these women gain more than income; they gain dignity, independence, and hope for their families. Each purchase helps preserve the art of palmyra weaving, a tradition passed down for generations, while building sustainable livelihoods for the future.
When you carry one of our bags, you carry a piece of Sri Lanka’s heritage and a message of empowerment.
